About the Department
The Electronics & Telecommunication department of Western Coalfields Limited (WCL) is entrusted with the responsibility of providing networking & telecommunication solutions across command area of WCL, implementing Digital & IT Initiatives of Ministry of Coal and Coal India Limited and ensuring compliance of various IT SOPs as notified from time to time. The department has been frontrunner in Coal India Limited with Initiatives like ICCC, MPLS Networking, GPS Based Vehicle Tracking System, RFID integration of mine Check-posts & Weighbridges, Drone based Surveillance and IIoT solutions. The Digital transformation initiatives by the department have been recognized with Golden Peacock Innovation managementAward, PSU IT Award for best use of emerging technologies, special contribution award by CIL and Best Mining Technology Award at Asian Mining Congress.

Shri Rajiv Singh, GM(E&T)/HOD is an engineering graduate in Electronics & Telecommunication. He has an experience of more than 30 years in Coal industry in various positions. He has worked in Wani, Pench and Nagpur areas before assuming charge of HOD (E&T) of WCL.
